About Orange Dermatology

Orange Dermatology and Laser Center has proudly been serving this community for over 40 years. In 1985, Dr. Steven Stanowicz opened his solo practice with his sister Stahsha Diaz as office manager in Villa Park, CA. Over the years, while teaching Mohs surgery to UCI Derm residents, Dr. Stanowicz hand-picked the best and the brightest to join his growing practice. As the practice expanded we moved to our current location at 1506 East Chapman Avenue. We now have six incredibly caring, talented and compassionate physicians to help care for our wonderful patients. Dr. Stanowicz’s philosophy is to treat employees and patients like family.
His daughter, Dr. Sarah Stanowicz, followed in her father‘s footsteps and joined the practice 10 years ago. She will soon be taking over business operations from her father and plans to instill the same family values she has seen her father emulate over her entire life.
Orange Dermatology and Laser Center loves being a place that offers warm, caring, comprehensive care to their patients. The patients come first above all else.
Here at Orange Dermatology and Laser Center we offer all dermatological medical services such as general skin checks, acne treatment, psoriasis treatment including biologics, rashes, itching, eczema, basically any diseases of the hair, skin and nails.
We are one of the few medical offices in the area to have a state of the art narrowband ultraviolet B (UVB) light box on site. This can treat many ailments but is mostly used for the treatment of psoriasis. The ultraviolet light helps calm psoriatic symptoms by slowing down the life cycle of the skin cells.
For skin cancer diagnosis, our physicians provide rigorous skin cancer screening exams. All of our providers are board-certified physicians. We do not employ physician assistants as we want you to have the best, most highly trained care there is. If skin cancer is detected, it can be treated in many ways and your doctor will discuss with you the pros and cons of each treatment.
One way in which skin cancer, specifically when it’s on your face, can be treated is by Mohs micrographic surgery. This type of surgery removes the cancerous cells layer by layer so we are able to 100% remove the cancerous cells while preserving as much healthy skin as possible. This leads to a more favorable cosmetic result. This procedure is performed by our very own fellowship-trained Mohs Surgeon, Dr. Michael Mortazie. Dr. Mortazie did a one-year fellowship in MOHS micrographic surgery after his dermatology residency and his results are beyond compare. He will make you feel right at home while undergoing this sometimes anxiety producing procedure. With the goal of making this procedure more comfortable, we have a separate designated location completely dedicated to MOHS micrographic surgery. This can sometimes be a lengthy process so we wanted to offer a more calm and quiet environment to undergo this important cancer treatment. Our Orange Dermatology Mohs Surgery Center is located at 368 S. Glassell Street between the Orange Circle and Holy Family Cathedral.
We also offer a variety of cosmetic procedures such as laser resurfacing, laser hair removal, micro-needling, chemical peels, Botox, fillers, Hydrafacials, laser facials in addition to a wide array of services provided by our medical aestheticians.
Whether your concern about your skin is medical or cosmetic in nature please do not hesitate to reach out to us to book your appointment today. By dialing 714-538-8556 you will reach scheduling for both offices. We look forward to welcoming you to the Orange Dermatology Family!
